Dr. Basma Issa Tlelan Al-Saleem, Associate Professor of Curricula and Methods for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages TEFL, Director General and Founder of the International eTurn Foundation for Training and Educational Consultations in Jordan, is a Professor at Manara College, New Jersey/America, and President of the International Council for Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages in Jordan and a member of the Higher Committee of the Arab Impact Factor Project for Scientific Research of the Union of Arab Universities, she is the winner of OBADA Scientific International Prize as a distinguished researcher in the year2022, and she is the scientific reference for the Mawhiba (Giftedness )program at the King ABdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity in Saudi Arabia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature and a TEFL master & Ph.D. from Yarmouk University/Jordan, specializing in curricula and methods for teaching English as a Foreign Language in 2010. She holds a TESOL diploma from Columbia University in New York – the USA, in 2008, she has an American Professional Certificate for English Teachers from the School of International Teachers SIT in Vermont America 2012, she holds a child rights Diploma in education from Lund University in Sweden, has a Leadership Diploma from Oregon University in America.
She has 11 years of experience teaching in several universities such as Manara College in New Jersey-USA, the World Islamic Sciences & Education University in Jordan, the University of Jordan, the Arab Open University, Imam Muhammad bin Saud University and King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. She is an educational development consultant in many local, Arab, and international universities and schools. She participated in the supervision and discussion committees for many postgraduate theses in the field of teaching methods, was an expert in designing training packages with the McCarthy format system, an international trainer, a certified expert with the International Standards Institution in America ISE, and the founder and the owner of many teacher development programs such as the American Fellowship in Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages (TASOL), , TESOL, Professional Digital Teacher Diploma, Arabic Teaching Diploma in International Schools, American Fellowship in Business Development and Digital Marketing, developing training packages in many sectors with the McCarthy format system, and others.
She holds a Higher Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing from the Academy of Professionals in Britain. Winner of the Top 100 Arab Personalities in Entrepreneurship Award issued by the Arab Entrepreneurs Network in Cairo in 2017, specialized in digital education and blended learning, won the Distinguished Scholar Award in 2010 for a thesis Her Ph.D. on the subject of the impact of blended learning on developing oral language skills in English for non-native speakers, issued by the Lambert Foundation for Research and Scientific Publishing in Germany,2010.
She has participated in many training courses in technology, English, and Arabic for non-native speakers, human rights, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, future foresight, artificial intelligence in education, university development, strategic planning, leadership, and quality in education. She has many interests and research published in international refereed journals in the field of technology use in education, human rights and language teaching, educational leadership and student violence, digital education, future foresight, artificial intelligence in education and quality, and social media in education. She has many participations with scientific papers at conferences inside and outside Jordan in the field of education, humanitarian, technical, entrepreneurship, creativity, and teaching Arabic to non-native speakers.
